Charles Stouff
Charles was born in 1971 and lived beside his
Grandfather’s dairy farm. Being introduced to the agricultural
population at an early age, he was often found
wandering throughout the barn and pastures using his
imagination.
At an early age Charles developed a passion for drawing
the cartoons he watched on television. As the years
passed Charles would cut out the comics in the newspaper
and draw all the characters including: Ziggy, Hagar
and Family Circus. He used to write his own captions
and just imagine the glamorous lifestyle of the cartoonist
(Yachts, supermodels, private jets, caviar).
Charles would sometimes get into trouble at school for drawing characatures of teachers
as they taught. In his senior year of High School Charles created his first single panel original
cartoon. It was entitled “Domestic World” and was later changed to “The Food Chain”.
This cartoon was influenced by The Far Side. Charles would freelance his cartoons to magazines
and small newspapers around the country.
Charles later developed a political cartoon entitled “Top Secret” and a comic strip entitled
“The Carneez”. After over 900 original cartoons, Charles has put several of these designs
into newly released books that include, Among Amish and The Food Chain. His newly
released book entitled, Till the Cows Come Home, is his most cherished project to date
that expresses his love for the game of baseball and his childhood memories of his
Grandfather’s dairy farm.
